SAAM 2011

Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2011 (SAAM) is a student-driven, community initiative to help put an end to sexual violence and make campus safer for everyone! We want to engage and inform the UBC community to spread awareness about this important issue. Our focus is a positive one – we intend to inspire people to realize that stopping sexual assault is everyone’s responsibility, and that as friends and bystanders, there are important and concrete actions we can all take to raise awareness and stop violence. SAAM is hosting a variety of fun and informative events, including 2 receptions, a film screening, a public lecture by noted activist Jaclyn Friedman, and a theatrical performance! Come to one or come to all, find out more about this important topic, and get involved! For more information email sa.awareness@ubc.ca or visit http://really.ubc.ca/saam
